The Information Technology Association of Jordan (int@j) was founded in the year 2000 as an industry-support association for Jordan’s ICT sector. int@j’s mission is to advance and promote the constituents it represents in both local and global markets. The Association realizes its mission through positively influencing policy and legislation, offering capacities building programs, carrying out local and regional marketing activities and providing members with value-added services that help them grow and prosper.

Over the years, int@j expanded its mandate to include ICT Enabled Services (ICTES), thus extending its support to organizations that largely base their business model on technology and communications. int@j’s multi-tiered membership packages are open to all organizations that have a vested interest in the ICT and ICTES sectors. Today, int@j’s members are comprised of software developers, hardware providers, telecommunications & data services, call centers, help desks, system integrators as well as non-ICT & ICTES organizations, e.g. banks, management consultants, law firms and non-profit organizations.

The Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI)

was established in 1971. CBI is an Agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and part of the development cooperation effort of The Netherlands. The organization has five departments dealing with: Market information, export coaching, training, institutional development of business support organizations as well as general affairs and accounting. The number of staff employed by CBI is around 37. Besides, CBI calls on the assistance of a large number of external experts for the implementation of activities.

is a Jordanian non-profit organization that aims to contribute to the overall economic development, helping enterprises realize their potential and creating higher income jobs. With the belief that reform occurs with a multi-pronged and bottom-up approach, the BDC focuses on the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), swelling “youth bubble” and relatively untapped female citizenry potential.

BDC's wide portfolio of projects includes The Business and Export Development Project for Jordanian Enterprises-Tatweer, which is an economic development project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The Tatweer Projects aims to enhance the competitiveness of Jordanian SMEs and increase their exports to regional and international markets. The Project also seeks to create jobs for Jordanians, and provide recent graduates with employment and training opportunities through the Maharat Program.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has been known throughout its long history by different names. It was called The Ministry of Trade, The Ministry of Economy and Trade, and The Ministry of National Economy, until it settled on the name, The Ministry of Industry and Trade since 1975 until now. According to its law number 18 for the year 1998, the Ministry takes on the responsibilities of regulating the industry by type, classifying it, registering it according to an internal regulation, and preparing the programs and studies that work on developing the industry and increasing its competitiveness. The Ministry also takes on the task of regulating the internal and setting foreign trade policies, monitoring it, and preparing the studies and the agreements that best serve the interest of the country and the citizen. Finally, The Ministry takes upon itself the study of trade and industrial blocs, Arab and international, recommending to The Council of Ministers ways to evaluate economic relations with them , the feasibility of joining them, and showing their impact on the national Economy.

Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI)

Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI), established in 1962 as a non-profit organization, represents the industrial sector of Jordan. ACI’s developed framework crystallizes the economic industrial point of view for approximately 8000 of its SM-(small, medium) and-Large-Enterprise members. In coordination with The Jordan Chamber of Industry, and; in cooperation with relevant ministries, governmental and NGOs; ACI applies its transparent foundation to effectively manage economic and development efforts.

ACI contributes to the board of trustee membership, and to the economic and social development training and scientific research management of many involved institutions. ACI also influences Arab and foreign Chamber cooperation agreements, advocates associated-craft industrial enterprise and institutional interests, advances closer Chamber member bonds; and supports industrial product promotion.

The A/E Business Council (A/E BC) is a private, non-governmental and not-for-profit professional association of leading Jordanian architectural & engineering consulting companies.
A/E BC is a representative organization offering services to its members in order to encourage best practices and enhance the effectiveness of the architectural and engineering professions in Jordan and across the international arena.
The organization started in the year 2004 as an informal discussion group called the A/E Forum; this group was invited to assist in framing the A/E Sector Plan under the national Jordan Vision 2020 Program. Starting in 2006, the A/E Business Council was established as an operational membership association providing direct professional services and membership benefits. The current member firms of the A/E BC include over 3,500 staff and approximately 2,000 architects and engineers.
