
As Jordanian enterprises continue to expand, exporting can make good business sense. By increasing focus on opportunities outside the national borders, companies will reduce dependence on domestic sales, extend product ranges, spread the risks and realize business growth. Learning how to break into new markets and build international competitiveness to achieve sustainable exports has become essential before taking up this challenge.
The eXPASSTM Export Training Workshops are designed to introduce export-oriented Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) to the principles of International Marketing and Export Planning. Participants will be provided the knowledge and skills necessary to understand the processes involved in export planning and the day to day activity of exporting, how to conduct international market research and analyze exporting opportunities, carry out assessment of the organization’s capacity and competencies in relation to exporting, and identifying internal strengths and weakness, as well as for planning for upgrading the organization’s capabilities to become ready for exporting.
The eXPASSTM workshops are directed to SMEs across all sectors of the Jordanian Economy who are new to exporting and want to develop international marketing knowledge and skills, or have been involved in previous export sales and want to enhance their export marketing skills to ensure exporting success. The training is also a must to organizations that are planning for active participation in trade fairs.
The eXPASSTM workshops are divided in two categories:
- Core export training workshops:
- eXPASSTM EMP: Export Marketing Planning and Promotion Training Workshop – A three-day intensive export marketing and management training workshop comprised of modules focused on providing the essential knowledge and skills for all export marketing activities. These courses target managers and export/marketing managers.
- Specialized workshops on essential practical export marketing and management topics, targeting managers, export and marketing managers and staff, as well as and those that have to deal with particular export topics on a daily basis:
- eXPASSTM MR: Export Market Research and Analysis Training Workshop – one day workshop on how to conduct export market research and analysis, with focus on market access requirements
- eXPASSTM VCM: Value Chain Management Training Workshop – one day workshop on value chain management for exports, based on Porter’s ‘Value Chain Analysis’ concept
- eXPASSTM Trade Shows: Trade Show Management Workshop – one day workshop on managing for successful participation in international trade shows and exhibitions
- eXPASSTM EA: Export Compliance Workshop – a one day workshop on managing compliance with international trade regulations and requirements
- eXPASSTM TA: Trade Agreements Workshop – a one day workshop on Jordan’s bilateral and multilateral trade agreements and their provisions
